Join us for Studio Masters Photography Club, a monthly event designed for photographers of all levels who want to experience the Studio Masters approach, build their portfolio with stunning images, and learn in a supportive, hands on environment.

The Black Swan - Photography Club Shoot Day

The Black Swan character we are featuring for our Photography Club shoot day is inspired by the stunning and dramatic elements of the ballet world. Our model will be adorned with the iconic black tutu and an elaborate headdress, complemented by professional makeup that will enhance the elegance and intensity of the Black Swan persona. Throughout the session, we'll capture a variety of poses that embody the grace and poise of a ballerina, focusing on creating beautiful, dynamic images that reflect the character's duality and depth.

As the shoot progresses, we will transition to a more raw and authentic portrayal of the model. The makeup will be carefully wiped away to reveal the natural beauty beneath, allowing us to explore a different side of the Black Swan character, just like the powerful image shown here. This contrast will provide a unique opportunity to capture extraordinary images that are both captivating and deeply expressive, showing the transformation and vulnerability behind the character.

These photographs will not only be a valuable addition to your portfolio but also serve as compelling entries for camera club competitions, showcasing your ability to convey complex narratives through photography.

• Time: 1pm to 4pm (4 hours)

What You'll Photograph:

Although the session features one outfit with one model, we will vary the lighting to give you multiple creative opportunities. There will be two different backdrops available:

1. Plain Backdrop: Perfect for cutouts and compositing practice. Ideal for photographers who want to develop their Photoshop skills and create fine art composites.
2. Styled Background: A beautifully designed background where minimal post processing is required, giving you finished images straight from the camera.

This setup gives you the flexibility to work on your post processing skills at a later date. If you decide to join the Develop area, you will have access to over 250 hours of content to help you refine your editing techniques and bring your images to life.
