CAPTAIN ANDERSON AND ROOSTER COGBURN

TWO SIGNATURE CHARACTER SETS, ONE IMMERSIVE PORTFOLIO BUILDING DAY
Join Studio Masters, Master Photographers for a full day of creative, hands on portrait photography featuring professional model John King, transformed into two completely different characters. Rooster Cogburn, inspired by the legendary True Grit marshal, and the frost covered Captain Anderson, inspired by the recent Frankenstein film.

TWO SETS TO SHOOT
Rooster Cogburn, a rugged Old West marshal set with warm, low sun directional lighting and authentic Western styling.
Captain Anderson, a frost covered 19th century Arctic sailor set with practical lantern light, smoke, falling snow, and a cold stormy atmosphere, using a snow machine to capture as much of the finished effect in camera as possible.

PROPS AND SHOOTING ROUNDS
Across the day you will have six shooting rounds, three per character, with different props and character studies introduced each round.
Western props include a lasso, revolver, and replica Winchester rifle.
Arctic props include a lantern, sextant, compass, vintage telescope, and traditional clay pipe.

EXCLUSIVE DIGITAL BACKGROUND PACKS
Every attending photographer will receive two bespoke collections of high resolution digital backgrounds, one designed for Rooster Cogburn and one designed for Captain Anderson, as a complimentary digital download after the event. The direction, colour, and quality of light in each background has been built to correspond with the lighting used on the sets, giving you the option to composite afterwards or finish traditionally having captured it in camera.

WHO THIS DAY IS FOR
This is a portfolio building day for photographers who love character portraits and cinematic storytelling. Assistance is available if required.

FOOD
Light lunch provided, a roll and a packet of crisps. Tea and coffee available on site. If you would like anything additional, please bring your own snacks and soft drinks.

TIMES
Arrival 10.30am.
Shooting 11.00am onwards, with five hours of shooting across the two sets.
