The Platform is built around sharing knowledge, with fresh ideas added weekly and monthly assessments delivered as recorded video. The library evolves through member requests and ideas, and over time photographers who qualify, or who simply want to give back, can contribute their own knowledge too, helping build a resource that supports the community and strengthens the industry accross the globe.

On the Develop platform, we currently create and provide two uploads weekly of new content that covers the full photographic journey, from studio and outdoor shooting, to lighting, posing, styling, and post production. We build it to be genuinely useful, practical, and easy to apply, whether you are just getting started or refining your work towards qualifications.

If there is something you want help with that we have not covered yet, just tell us. Member requests are always welcome, and we will happily shape a future session around what you need, so your learning feels personal, not generic.

We also make sure the range reflects what you actually shoot, so alongside portrait work you will see dedicated training for pets and equine too.

Our monthly assessments are built to share knowledge, not to critique. We give you a full, structured assessment of how your image is working, what could be strengthened, and clear, practical guidance on what to focus on over the month ahead, so you know exactly how to improve in your next submission.  Whilst the monthly competition is free to enter, the full assessments are reserved for platform subscribers, and they are delivered as recorded video feedback as part of the monthly conent.

If you are working towards a recognised standard, you may be invited, or you may choose, to learn how to create occasional content for the platform, sharing your craft and what you produce so other members can learn from your approach. This helps us archive a wide range of skill sets from photographers around the world, building a universal resource that appeals to many, while giving back to the industry.

If you are a platform subscriber, you will receive 5 percent off applicable events, plus 10 percent off all shop products.

You'll have access to the current library and future episodes for the length of your subscription.

At Develop, we offer streaming video content through our website, which cannot be downloaded at this time. However, we do offer other content such as lighting guides and resources/shop products that are available for download where applicable.

When you sign up to develop you will be entering into membership agreement whereby you will be automatically billed for the subscription based on the option selected.

You will retain access to content as long as your membership continues.

Once your membership is cancelled or expires you will no longer have access to past or future content, if you sign up again in the future all your episodes will be available again. If you have questions on billing please contact us.

Cancellation Policy:

At Develop, we understand that circumstances can change, which is why we allow members to cancel their subscription anytime. However, please note that cancelling will result in you losing access to the content on Develop. If you decide to resume your membership, we cannot guarantee that certain membership options or pricing will be the same or available.

Refund Policy:

Please note that due to the nature of all of our content being available immediately, we do not offer a refund for the annual option. However, we do offer a refund before your first renewal if you opted a monthly option. Additionally, we do not offer refunds based on inability to log in or access/play content unless we can reliably prove an error on our platform exists.

Events refund policy:

Due to the nature of these events and production costs a refund in most cases may not be available and may be applicable to a cancellation fee or only be available to transfer to someone else.

Should you wish to transfer your chosen event booking to an alternative date, please not that an admin fee of £25 will be applicable.

Qualifications are retained once achieved regardless of your membership with the develop platform.

In keeping with other associations/ societies we recognise a ‘Licentiate’ level. Upgrades with all levels can be applied by the judging panel where they consider applicable. Please see a full guide to qualifications on our ‘accreditation of excellence’ page within the site.
