PRINT COMPETITION GUIDELINES
MIMIMUM PRINT SIZE AND PRESENTATION
Prints must be a minimum size of 100 square inches, and you are welcome to submit larger work if you prefer. As this is the BPA Gold Awards, prints must be mounted and presented to a high standard. Mounting is part of the judging experience, helping your image read as a finished piece and ensuring it is handled and viewed at its best. Please make sure the mount and overall finish are clean, neat,
and professional.
BRANDING AND BORDERS
Do not add branding, watermarks, signatures, or decorative borders to your image. Any identifying marks may result in disqualification.
HOW MANY ENTRIES YOU CAN SUBMIT
There is no limit to the number of entries you can submit. Each entry is paid and must be submitted and labelled individual.
DIGITAL FILE REQUIRED FOR REFERENCE
Alongside your print, you must upload a digital file for reference. This is used by the administration team to confirm the entry details and to support accurate handling of prints.

Every digital file must be named exactly using the format below. Incorrectly named files may be disqualified

PRINTING RECOMMENDATIONS
You may print your work yourself or use a professional lab. If you would like a recommended supplier, we suggest One Vision Imaging.
ENTRY LABEL FOR THE BACK OF THE PRINT
Once your entry is received, you will be sent a PDF label to print and attach to the back of your mounted print. This ensures the administration team can track entries accurately while keeping judging anonymous.
JUDGING ANONYMITY AND WINNER OF WINNERS
Judging is anonymous. Only the administration team will know which print belongs to which entrant until judging is complete. Commended and Gold awards may be given in each round. Only Gold award prints are held back for the end of year Winner of Winners final, where one overall winner is selected.
YOUR WORK AND ELIGIBILITY
Your entry must be your own work. The image must be created and edited by you. Printing may be outsourced to a professional lab, and this is absolutely fine. Images captured on a tuition day or workshop are not eligible for this competition, as they do not reflect your full independent ability.
COPYRIGHT AND LEGAL COMPLIANCE
Any entry that violates copyright, trademark, or any other applicable law will be disqualified. If your image includes recognisable people, you are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate permissions.
CATEGORIES AND DIGITAL CREATION NOTE
You will be asked to select a category for each entry, Categories are used to guide judging context, particularly for Portrait and Digital Creation. Portrait and Digital Creation is the only category where outsourced digital elements are permitted. This includes purchased stock elements and Al generated elements, provided they support the author's main body of work. These elements are not permitted in any other category.
PRINT RETURNS
Due to logistics prints are not returned, authors can collect their prints within a 28 day period after the quarter they have entered.
